It was the last day of school and so it was time to move out of my room. With only one of my bags (I had decided to leave the others behind and pick them up later), I headed out. I had to pass through a number of other rooms that felt almost labyrinthine and when I finally got to my car, four or five people were living in it. I called 911 and a bunch of people from the school showed up to handle it. There was even someone asleep in the trunk. With that taken care of I returned to my room to get the rest of my luggage only to find that it had been stolen. Again I had to call someone and when I said, Why would someone steal my luggage, he reminded me that “suitcases were hard to come by” though I thought that was just an excuse and a poor one at that.
